Molly has been with us a long time and really needs a home of her own
she has so much love to give
she loves her walks, she loves food, she is ok with some male dogs
she loves her tummy rubbed, But she is not a dog you could trust with strangers
because of this she can not be walked out on the street where other people are about..
This is why she has been with us for about 2 years now.....
BUT IN THE RIGHT HOME AND WITH THE RIGHT OWNER SHE WOULD BE A WONDERFUL FAMILY DOG......

Dog's Prayer-Beth Norman Harris.

"Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me. Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.

Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear.

When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements. And I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth.

Though had you no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god and I am your devoted worshipper.

Keep my pan filled with fresh water for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I might stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life should your life be in danger.

And, beloved master, should the great master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest --- and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands."

Welcome to our rescue website. Sadly every breed has a need for a rescue and the Cane Corso is no exception. Still a relatively unknown breed in the UK but becoming more and more popular. Like many molosser breeds they are not a dog to be taken on lightly and need the correct handling, training and care.

We are committed to rescuing Cane Corsos in the UK (and other Molosser breeds) and finding suitable homes for them where they can live happily for the rest of their lives. There are all sorts of reasons Cane Corsos are re-homed as sometimes situations beyond anyone's control make it necessary for people to make the difficult decision to re-home their dog. Sometimes however, people purchase this breed for the wrong reasons and come to realise this breed is not suitable for them. In most situations, the breeders who sold these dogs will not help these people try and re-home the dog and people are left to re-home the dogs themselves.

Before we allow anyone to adopt a Cane Corso or any other breed from our rescue, they must meet a certain criteria and will be expected to have an interview and their home will be vetted. We will also issue a contract to protect the welfare of the dog and expect all prospective new owners to abide fully by the contract.

Every dog in our care will be vet checked, vaccinated, wormed & neutered or spayed before being re-homed. An experienced dog trainer will do a temperament evaluation and prospective owners will be invited to spend time with the dog so the rescue can assess how well the dogs bonds with the people and how the people take to the dog.

We will not place an adult Corso in a home with small children, unless we are fully aware of the background of the dog and happy that children have played an active part in the dogs previous home.

If you are considering re-homing one of the dogs in our care we would like to ask that you take the time to speak to people who know the breed and to be 100% sure that you can offer that dog the correct training and care.
